Abstract:
The heavy metal is one of major environmental contaminants.Contents of heavy metals in surface water from 19 stations of Huizhou coastal area were analyzed, and pollution characteristics and ecological risk were evaluated by Arithmetic Mean Multi-factor index and Hakanson index. The results showed that the mean contents of Cu,Zn,Cr,Cd,Hg and As were 4.847,4.849,0.595,0.263,0.045 and 2.852 μg/L,respectively,in Huizhou during August in 2015,fitting the first standard. The mean content of Pb was 8.46 μg/L,belonging to the third standard. The Arithmetic Mean Multi-factor index suggested that the order of heavy metals pollution in seawater of Huizhou was clean, with I value of 0.379.Pearson correlations suggested that the source of Zn and Hg were similar. The distribution of heavy metals was affected by pH greatly. The potential ecological risk of 7 heavy metals in surface water by the potential ecological risk index was in the following order: Hg,Pb,Cu,Cd,As,Zn,Cr.The mean potential ecological risk indexes (RI) of 7 heavy metals in marine sediments of Huizhou was 22.6 posing slightly potential ecological risk
